JUNE 2014: Cesar Fortes Lima at IPATIMUP
EUROTAST research fellow Cesar Fortes-Lima just completed a month-long position as a Visiting Researcher at IPATIMUP, the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology at the University of Porto, Portugal. He worked with Luisa Pereira’s group to reconstruct complete mitochondrial DNA genomes from Africa. From this training he learned how to estimate genetic variation and geographic discrimination of mtDNA.
