EUROTAST VIDEO: Ryan Espersen

EUROTAST fellow Ryan Espersen is conducting his PhD in Archaeology at the University of Leiden under the supervision of Dr. Jay Haviser and Prof. Corinne Hofman. His research is on the historical archaeology of the Caribbean islands of Saba and St. Eustatius and his interest how notions of ‘race’ developed in the northern Dutch Caribbean. In this video we hear Ryan describe his project in the many locations associated with his research.
