I am an anthropologist and archaeologist who specialises in the interpretation and remediation of cultural heritage with digital media. I am interested in the potential for the use of digital media to construct a rigorous, yet meaningful engagement with the extremely diverse stakeholders associated with the Transatlantic Slave Trade. During my PhD thesis at the University of California, Berkeley, I explored the interdisciplinary space between New Media theory and Archaeology to form a more multivocal, reflexive, and emancipatory digital media practice for cultural heritage.
